2010 Honda CBR125R Review

One of the odd things about Honda bikes is that dealers in the United States feel that they don’t have what the American rider is looking for in a bike so you won’t see the wide range of bikes manufactured by them that you would in Europe or even in Canada. Actually, Canada is aggressively importing models such as the CBF1000 sports standard and the CB1000R naked sport bike but those won’t be found in the US. The Honda 2010 CBR125R is a great and affordable entry level sport bike that you won’t find in the States either, but if you just hop across the border to our neighbor in the north, you can ride your way back home.

This bike is powered by a liquid cooled modern fuel injected SOHC 125cc 13.5 horsepower Single. That isn’t the typical sportbike power, but it has enough to get you in and out of city traffic while maintaining a safe pace on smaller roads. One of the ‘good things’ (depending on how you look at it I suppose!) is that you won’t have much worry about getting a speeding ticket on this bike. But hey, it’s billed as a great entry level sportbike and who would want a newbie on anything with much more power anyway?

One thing to know is that the CBR125R Honda is really a city bike and it has all the capability you will need under those driving conditions. It is affordable, has enough power to handle city traffic and great for experience as a step prior to a more powerful bike.
